Thanks for stopping by...
... to take a look at some of my work. What follows is a sampling of what I've been upto over the last few years. I've kept the comments to a minimum--the artwork should speak for it's self. Clicking on the images will display a larger view of the image. If you have a project in mind, I'd love to talk it over with you. You can reach me at 425-344-8265. If you're looking for a different style, or don't quite see what you were looking for, let me take a shot at your project.

Selected Advertising Cartoons
I've always believed in using cartoons for your advertising. Cartoons attract attention, break the ice, and can help the reader identify emotionally with your product or service. I'll start out our visit with a selection of my work used in local advertising.

"All I want for Christmas is my own back yard!" This illustration was used on a postcard mailer for a mortgage company's Christmas advertising. Printed four over one on coated coverstock, the reverse side contained the ad copy and mailing space.

Alien Creatures
The following alien creatures were created as part of the decore for a children's festival called the Creation Celebration, produced annually by Family Life Center Foursquare Church of Mukilteo. The artwork was enlarged onto cardboard sheets and painted with latex paint.

Glambool Rayshoot, bandit of the outer rim, and his sidekick, Toobee Natoobee.

Lesson Illustrations
Over the years I've been asked to illustrate lessons for children's church. Here are a few:

U.H. stands for the Unlikely Hero. He appears here with Grandma Goodcookie. This artwork was used to design the costumes for characters in the Faith Factory, the children's ministry of Family Life Center Foursquare Church of Mukilteo. The Unlikely Hero has no superpowers. He can't jump over tall buildings, he isn't faster than a speeding bullet, and he's not more powerful than a locomotive. But, he does have one important ability: his availability. That means he's available when needed.

Space Design

The Faith Factory is the children's ministry of Family Life Center Foursquare Church of Mukilteo, Washington. Children's pastor Cindi Boggio asked me to design a fun cartoon environment that would fit the name of the ministry, Faith Factory. I created a few design sketches, and advised the volunteers who built it.

The large red window can be a view screen in a starship, a giant etch-a-sketch, the biggest picture phone on record, or anything else you want it to be. Behind the window is a closet sized puppet booth with two layers of theatrical scrim. This allows the puppeteers to stand up and operate their hand puppets. They can see the audience, but the kids can't see them.
